This was our first full week back to school and I have been wanting to blog with my classes since this past summer. I created a free class blog using Kidblog. It was easy and the themes are awesome. My students are excited to have their voices heard. I decided to allow them to write about their personal interests, what they are passionate about in life. I am hoping to show them that they have a voice and hopefully, this produces more confidence in their writing.
The message I am trying to convey to them is that we all have something to offer. I am also going to be more active in my own blogging to continue to lead by example. We will be revising and editing their first blog posts and publishing by the end of next week.
